Fuel for the Frontline: Women’s Nutrition for Drivers & Shift Workers
As part of International Women’s Day 2026, Women in Bus and Coach London & South Region is hosting a practical lunchtime webinar focused on women’s nutrition across the bus, coach and community transport sector.
Early starts, late finishes, split shifts and long operational days, whether behind the wheel, in engineering roles or supporting services from the office, can take a toll on energy, focus and long-term health. Irregular working patterns and sedentary roles are linked to increased health risks, but there are practical and achievable ways to reduce these impacts.
In this interactive session, nutritional therapist Anna Earl will explore the relationship between our 24-hour body clocks, food timing, digestion and sleep. She will share strategies to help improve energy levels, reduce fatigue and support long-term wellbeing, particularly for women navigating shift work.
Anna specialises in supporting shift workers and has served as nutritional consultant to the National Police Wellbeing Service. She is also a member of the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety, advising on nutrition and fatigue, with a focus on reducing sleep-related risk for road users.
This session is open to women working at all levels across the bus, coach and community transport sector.
