How did you get to where you are today?
Working hard… Focus and never giving up!
It is hard but not impossible!
Did you experience any challenges getting to where you are today?
Yes, many. Moving to different country where I had to learn a new language. Learning to drive on the other side of the road, whilst getting used to a much bigger vehicle.
If so, how did you overcome them?
Doing my best always, never giving up and proving to myself that I can do it!
What do you like about the bus, coach or community transport sector?
Drive a coach is my passion!! Meeting new people everyday, no day is the same.
What does a typical day look like?
It isn’t easy, however when you do what you love, you can go through all the challenges!
Having focus and patience to deal with any problems such as traffic is helpful.
What advice would you give to women thinking about a career in the bus, coach or community transport sector?
I would say YES…If you are brave, strong personality and like challenges…go for it! It is amazing career! Well paid and it is a great feeling knowing you helped people to get to where they want to go.
What has been your bus, coach or community transport sector career highlight?
It improves your skills for life! Passing my test is one for sure.
What three things could the bus, coach or community transport sector do to improve the industry for women?
It needs more advertising, its a great job and the sector needs more women.
What changes have you seen since in the sector since you joined?
Vehicles are better now, cruise control is very helpful.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?
Hopefully continuing to provide an excellent service to the wonderful public.

More women in leadership roles would be excellent.
